Our team
Black River became its official name in 2016.
But this story started long before that.
Coach Dee had already been teaching since 2004, building fighters, shaping minds, and laying the foundation that would later become Black River. Years of experience. Years of discipline. Years of understanding that Muay Thai is more than strikes and combinations. It is identity.
Since then, an untold number of students have stepped onto our mats. Some came searching for fitness. Some for confidence. Some for something they could not even explain.
Not all of them still train today.
But every single one of them left different than they arrived.
Because when you train here, you do not just learn how to fight.
You discover resilience.
You build inner strength.
You develop a mindset that stays with you long after the gloves come off.
Black River was born in Manaus, in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon.
Today, it also stands strong in Westerville.

training for all levels
Individualized training, in private lessons for all levels and ages, focused on technique and conditioning.
Muay Thai training for intermediate and advanced students
Intermediate and advanced students will train combinations of strikes, attacks, defenses, counterattacks, fighting tactics, clinch, and will gradually be pushed more physically in the training, respectively.


Muay Thai for beginners
Muay Thai training for beginner students focuses on the basic fundamentals of the sport. As the student progresses in techniques, their level of physical conditioning will also improve.
